About LESCO — Lahore Electric Supply Company
Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO) is Pakistan's second-largest electricity distribution company, supplying power to over 4.5 million consumers across Lahore, Sheikhupura, Kasur, and Okara districts. Established in 1913 — making it one of Pakistan's oldest utilities — LESCO operates under PEPCO and is regulated by NEPRA (National Electric Power Regulatory Authority).
LESCO supplies electricity to Lahore city — Pakistan's second-largest metropolis and cultural capital of Punjab — including all major localities like DHA, Gulberg, Model Town, Johar Town, Bahria Town, Cantt, Wapda Town, Township, and all surrounding areas. Beyond Lahore, LESCO covers the entire districts of Sheikhupura (including Muridke and Nankana Sahib), Kasur (including Pattoki and Raiwind), and Okara (including Depalpur and Renala Khurd).
Every month, LESCO generates bills for its 4.5 million consumers based on meter readings recorded by field staff. The bill is uploaded to PITC's central server — the same server this page fetches your bill from. Your 14-digit LESCO reference number is your unique identifier in this system, and it never changes. If you ever lose your bill, you can always retrieve it here using just that number.
LESCO bills follow Pakistan's standard slab tariff approved by NEPRA. Domestic consumers who average 200 units or less per month over 6 months are classified as Protected consumers and receive subsidized rates. Consumers above this average are Unprotected and pay higher commercial slab rates from the very first unit consumed. LESCO's billing cycle runs monthly, and bills are typically available for viewing online by the 20th to 25th of each month.
In addition to the standard bill checking tool above, LESCO consumers can also check their bill by entering their 10-digit Customer ID (click the Customer ID tab in the checker above), which is an alternative identifier printed below your name on the bill. For emergencies, outages, and new connection applications, LESCO operates a 24/7 helpline at 118 and a toll-free UAN at 0800-00118.
PakistanBill.online is Pakistan's only platform covering all 19 utility providers. Alongside this checker, you can also check: IESCO bill | MEPCO bill | GEPCO bill | SNGPL gas bill | WASA Lahore. How to Check LESCO Bill Online — Step by Step
Follow these steps to check your LESCO electricity bill online. The entire process takes under 60 seconds.
Find your 14-digit LESCO reference number — it is printed in bold on the top-right corner of any previous LESCO electricity bill, just above the bar code.
Go to the bill checker tool at the top of this page. The 'Reference Number' tab is selected by default.
Type your 14-digit LESCO reference number carefully into the input field. Enter numbers only — no spaces, dashes, or other characters.
Click the green 'Check Bill' button. The tool connects to the official PITC server (bill.pitc.com.pk/lescobill) and fetches your bill.
Your complete LESCO bill appears on screen within 3 to 5 seconds — showing your total amount due, due date, units consumed, meter readings, and all charges.
Click 'Download PDF' to save your LESCO bill as a PDF file to your device. Click 'Print' to send it directly to your printer as a duplicate copy.
How to Read Your LESCO Bill
Every section of your LESCO electricity bill has a specific meaning. Understanding these sections helps you verify accuracy and dispute errors.
Your LESCO reference number (14 digits, top-right) is your permanent account ID. Save it in your phone — you need it every month to check your bill online.
The 'Previous Reading' and 'Current Reading' fields show your meter readings. Subtract Previous from Current to get units consumed. If the difference looks wrong, request a meter re-reading.
The 'Category' field shows D-Protected or D-Unprotected. Protected means you pay subsidized rates. If you use under 200 units average but show Unprotected, file a complaint at your subdivision office.
The 'Billing Month' field shows which month the bill covers. If it shows February but you are checking in March, your March bill is not yet generated — check again after the 20th.
The 'Sanctioned Load' field shows your approved connection capacity in kilowatts. Running appliances that exceed this limit can result in a Maximum Demand Indicator (MDI) penalty on your next bill.
The 'Due Date' and 'Last Date' may be different. Due Date is the standard deadline. Last Date is the extended date after which disconnection may happen — always pay before Due Date.
Look for 'TP' (Theft Penalty) or 'Surcharge' in your bill charges. If these appear and you believe they are wrong, dispute them immediately at your LESCO subdivision office — do not pay surcharges you did not incur.
LESCO Bill Charges Explained March 2026
Your LESCO electricity bill includes several charges beyond the base unit rate. Here is what each charge means and how it is calculated.
| Charge | Amount / Rate | What It Is |
|---|---|---|
| Energy Charges | Rs 13.48 – Rs 48.84/unit | Base charge per kWh unit consumed. Rate depends on your slab (Protected or Unprotected). |
| Fuel Price Adjustment (FPA) | Rs 0.48/unit (Mar 2026) | Monthly variable charge set by NEPRA based on fuel cost changes. Rises when fuel is expensive. |
| General Sales Tax (GST) | 17% of consumption charges | Federal government tax applied to your electricity charges. Protected consumers under 200 units pay reduced GST. |
| FC (Fixed Charge) Surcharge | Rs 0.43/unit | Funds capacity payments to power plants. Applied to all consumers regardless of category. |
| Electricity Duty (ED) | 1.5% of consumption charges | Provincial government duty on electricity consumption. Applies to all domestic connections. |
| NJ (Neelum Jhelum) Surcharge | Rs 0.10/unit | Funds the Neelum-Jhelum Hydro Power Project debt repayment. Applies per unit consumed. |
| TV License Fee | Rs 35/month | Government fee added to all domestic bills. Mandatory regardless of whether you own a TV. |
| Meter Rent | Rs 10–1,000+/month | Monthly rental for the electricity meter at your premises. Amount varies by meter type and connection category. |
| Late Payment Surcharge | 10% of overdue amount | Applied if you pay after the due date + 7-day grace period. Avoid this by paying on time. |
| PTV Fee | Included in TV Fee | Pakistan Television fee collected through electricity bills. Part of the Rs 35 TV License charge. |
LESCO Electricity Tariff Rates March 2026
Pakistan uses a slab-based tariff. The more units you consume, the higher the rate per unit. Staying in a lower slab saves significant money every month.
Rates approved by NEPRA. Subject to change each quarter. Last updated: March 2026.
| Units Consumed | Rate per Unit (PKR) | Consumer Category |
|---|---|---|
| 1 – 100 units | Rs 13.48 | Protected |
| 101 – 200 units | Rs 18.58 | Protected |
| 1 – 100 units | Rs 23.59 | Unprotected |
| 101 – 200 units | Rs 30.07 | Unprotected |
| 201 – 300 units | Rs 34.26 | Unprotected |
| 301 – 400 units | Rs 39.15 | Unprotected |
| 401 – 500 units | Rs 41.36 | Unprotected |
| 501 – 600 units | Rs 42.78 | Unprotected |
| 601 – 700 units | Rs 43.92 | Unprotected |
| Above 700 units | Rs 48.84 | Unprotected |
✅ Protected Consumer
Average monthly consumption of 200 units or less over the last 6 months. Pays subsidized rates. One high-consumption month does not immediately remove Protected status.
⚡ Unprotected Consumer
Average consumption exceeds 200 units per month. Pays commercial rates from the very first unit consumed. Reducing average consumption below 200 units can restore Protected status.
LESCO Peak Hours 2026
Electricity costs more during peak hours. Moving heavy appliance use outside peak hours reduces your monthly LESCO bill noticeably.
Summer Peak Hours
April — October
6:30 PM – 10:30 PM
Avoid AC, washing machine, electric iron during these hours.
Winter Peak Hours
November — March
6:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Avoid electric heaters, geysers, and irons during these hours.
Off-Peak Hours (Save Money)
How to Reduce Your LESCO Bill
These practical steps consistently reduce electricity bills for Lahore households. Implementing all of them can cut your monthly bill by 20 to 40%.
Run your washing machine, iron, and electric water motor after 11 PM — outside LESCO's peak hours of 6:30–10:30 PM in summer. These three appliances alone account for 30–40% of most Lahore household bills.
Set your air conditioner to 26°C. Each degree below 26 increases AC power consumption by 6–8%. At 22°C instead of 26°C, you pay 25–30% more just for cooling.
Install an inverter AC. Inverter ACs use 30–50% less electricity than conventional fixed-speed ACs of the same cooling capacity.
Replace incandescent and CFL bulbs with LED bulbs. LEDs use 80% less electricity for identical brightness and last 15–25 times longer.
Use a solar geyser (water heater). A conventional electric geyser running 2 hours daily adds approximately Rs 800–1,200 to your monthly LESCO bill. Solar geysers eliminate this entirely.
Check if LESCO has granted you Protected status. If your average consumption is under 200 units but your bill shows Unprotected, visit your subdivision office — the difference in rates could save you Rs 500–1,500 per month.
Unplug appliances from wall sockets rather than just switching them off at the appliance. TVs, computers, and phone chargers in standby mode consume 5–15 watts each — adding up to Rs 100–200 per month across a typical Lahore household.
Apply for LESCO net metering if you install solar panels. You can sell surplus solar electricity back to LESCO, reducing or eliminating your monthly bill entirely.

How to File a LESCO Billing Complaint
If your LESCO bill is incorrect, higher than expected, or shows charges you do not recognize — here is the official complaint process you must follow under NEPRA regulations.
Call LESCO helpline 118 or UAN 0800-00118 and state your 14-digit reference number. Clearly describe the billing issue — over-billing, wrong units, incorrect category, or unexplained charges.
Ask for a Complaint Registration Number (CRN). The LESCO agent must give you this. Note it down immediately — this is your legal proof of complaint and your tracking reference.
If the phone complaint is not resolved within 7 working days, visit your nearest LESCO subdivision office. Bring your bill printout and CNIC. Request a written acknowledgment of your complaint.
For meter accuracy disputes, request an official meter test in writing. LESCO must test the meter within 15 days of your written request at no initial cost to you.
If LESCO does not resolve your complaint within 14 working days, escalate to NEPRA. Call NEPRA Consumer Helpline 0800-63000 (toll-free) or file online at nepra.org.pk/consumer-services.
For ignored complaints, contact the Federal Ombudsman (Wafaqi Mohtasib) at mohtasib.gov.pk — this is a free escalation route that forces utility companies to respond.
