Your 14-digit electricity reference number is the single most important number on your electricity bill. Without it, you cannot check your bill online, pay through any app, or file a complaint. Every WAPDA DISCO — LESCO, MEPCO, GEPCO, FESCO, IESCO, PESCO, HESCO, SEPCO, QESCO, TESCO, and AJK — uses the same 14-digit format.

Where is the Reference Number on Your Bill?

On every WAPDA DISCO electricity bill, the 14-digit reference number is printed in bold on the top-right section of the bill. It is usually labeled "Reference No." or "Ref. No." and appears directly above or below the barcode. It is always exactly 14 digits — no letters, no dashes.

What if I Can't Find My Reference Number?

If you've lost your paper bill and cannot find your reference number, you have several options:

• Check previous months' bills — the reference number never changes for your connection
• Call your DISCO helpline (118) — provide your name, address, and CNIC to retrieve your reference number
• Visit your nearest subdivision office — with your CNIC for identity verification
• Use your Customer ID (10 digits) — all DISCO bill checkers also accept the 10-digit Customer ID as an alternative
• Check your bank payment records — if you've paid bills online, your reference number is saved in payment history

Reference Number vs Customer ID — What's the Difference?

Both numbers identify your electricity connection, but they are used differently:

• Reference Number (14 digits) — used for bill checking and payment. May change if your connection moves to a new feeder. Most apps and SMS services use this.
• Customer ID / Consumer No. (10 digits) — your permanent account identifier. Never changes. Used for new connection applications and DISCO records.
